The decision in favor of the Demag® AC 45 City was easy for the crane service provider Auto-Klug, headquartered in Hof, Bavaria: "After we had already had the best experience with our five Demag AC 40 City cranes, it was a foregone conclusion that we would purchase the successor model," reports Matthias Kallinich, crane operator at Auto-Klug’s location in Zwickau, Saxony who picked up the new machine in Zweibrücken. The crane was handed over by Demag Sales Manager Thomas Keckeis.
CEO Werner Glück cites the compact design and the wide range of indoor and outdoor applications of the crane as the main reasons for purchasing it: "We will use the crane when building houses, moving machines or even lifting gantry cranes in halls." The company has therefore also ordered the optional runner for use in buildings.Auto-Klug sees another crucial advantage of the Demag AC 45 City as being the option of telescoping the boom under load - particularly in combination with the innovative IC-1 Plus control system: "For us, however, it is not only the high lifting capacity that is important here but the aspect of safety, too," emphasizes Matthias Kallinich, who is convinced that the new crane will more than pay for itself, just as the Demag AC 40 City did before.
